MamoScope is an X-ray-based imaging and decision-support platform designed to create volumetric and three-axis sectional images of excised breast tissue during surgery, providing additional information for surgical margin assessment.

More Information While the Operation Is Still in Progress
Final pathology may require an extended laboratory workflow. During breast-conserving surgery, clinicians need additional information about whether the excised tissue margins appear clear before the operation is completed.
MamoScope was developed to image the intact excised specimen in three dimensions and support the surgical team with a digital, reviewable dataset during the intraoperative period.

Developed from Long-Term Research in 3D Imaging
MamoScope was developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Polat, whose research includes 3D image reconstruction for digital breast tomosynthesis and CT, microscale biological imaging and optical tomography.
The platform builds on internationally conducted academic work at Harvard Medical School, Harvard-MIT HST, University of Lisbon, İTÜ and ÇOMÜ; TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB-supported projects, scientific publications and an intellectual-property portfolio in three-dimensional imaging systems.
